Save the Engineering Diploma
The only decent thing introduced by the last government was the Diploma in Engineering qualification, which is now reported to be facing the axe (WM, Jan issue, p7).
How else do we get young people interested in engineering that will lead to real wealth? Certainly not through art and media studies.
I am hoping this year to get some apprentices through this route.
