Energy use made visible on the web
A new web-hosted energy monitoring system has been launched which promises to make it easier to reduce energy use within buildings.
Priva Energy Online, from Priva Building Intelligence, is a web-based energy monitoring service, but instead of producing masses of numerical statistics on a building's energy use, it delivers data with graphics and has intuitive functionality, making it easier to understand. Data is collected from meters, analysed and reports posted on a secure web page.
Priva says the new system will be of particular use to energy-intensive sites affected by the CRC, though it can be equally beneficial to smaller businesses which need a low-cost way to track consumption.
