Setten and Durward files good report for K3 managed services

Filing products manufacturer Setten and Durward says the move over to K3’s outsourced IT management for its Syspro ERP system is saving it significant money.

Finance manager Theresa Morris, says it’s been able to cut out in-house IT support and has resulted in the smooth running of its Syspro 6.0 ERP system, as well as the network and servers. “This is an extremely good service for us. The K3 team is very responsive and provides full support for our systems. They even manage our servers remotely, which enables us to run the business confident in the knowledge that our IT is in good hands.” Setten and Durward is phasing in Syspro ERP, having chosen the K3 solution to replace its ageing Infoflow system. The company is initially using the finance and advanced warehouse management modules to help provide a clear view of stock and transactions and is configuring the manufacturing (MRP) module to provide production and supply chain control at its factory in Llandrindod Wells, Wales. On the finance side, the system has already streamlined Setten and Durward’s accounting procedures. Morris says that its transaction processing allows her to look at the current year and review performance against two earlier periods. She also says that its report writers enable all sorts of analyses, which can be printed or viewed remotely via web browser. It’s a similar story on the warehousing side, with accurate inventory control now being achieved for its huge stock volumes, covering UK manufactured products and items manufactured and imported from suppliers in the Far East.
