Export control regulations and initiatives by global authorities are continuously on the rise. They aim to facilitate legitimate global trade, and combat terrorism.
Businesses with effective compliance programmes embrace export control obligations and implement processes and patterns that are consistently followed until they become almost involuntary. Like a habit.
As global supply chains grow more complex and more parties from more countries take part, it becomes ever more difficult to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations - for all involved business transactions and goods movements - from end to end.
It's about global security. But also about avoiding fines, imprisonment and trading penalties. Further key objectives include upholding your business reputation and competitive edge in a challenging, global market place. Of course, it's also about business and operational efficiency. It all starts with awareness - in all your departments and teams, and throughout your supply chain. Once aware, we can analyse habits, further developing the good, removing the bad and preparing for continuous improvement.
"7 Habits of Highly Effective Compliance Programmes" is AEB's 5th Annual Compliance Conference in partnership with CILT. It's the essential compliance event to stay up-to-date on export control regulations, challenges, trends and best practices - tailored for global trade and supply chain professionals and executives from trading and manufacturing businesses.
This year's event will focus on the different areas and angles of compliance awareness and where repeated processes or behaviours have been observed throughout global supply chains. It will provide insights from the perspective of government bodies, auditing firms, global freight forwarders, consultancies and of course, directly from manufactures and traders.
An exciting addition to the event this year will be the end-of-day panel discussion, featuring a range of experts from trade and industry. They will answer questions from the audience, engage in topical debates and provide insights from their individual perspectives.
Set in the beautiful grounds of the Mallory Court Hotel, the day's programme includes presentations from thought leaders, networking opportunities, expert discussions and a chance to identify solutions for challenges.
Coffee breaks and a delicious complimentary lunch will be provided throughout the course of the day.
After the official programme ends at 4pm, delegates are invited to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the AEB and CILT annual compliance conference and join us for an informal drinks reception. This offers further advantages to engage in networking with industry peers and compliance experts.
