Accounting consultancy BDO Audit & Assurance has now certified Infor10 Financials Business (formerly SunSystems) as IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) compliant.
Rod Radojevic, director of solutions management at Infor, makes the point that Infor10 Financials Business is now certified across multiple countries, organisational structures and business system configurations.
The solution can be used across an organisation as a single financial management solution or harnessed at business units and subsidiaries to enhance IFRS compliance, he adds.
Radojevic also indicates that, in addition to IFRS, the solution enhances management reporting, local GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) tax and other financial reporting and analysis requirements.
"BDO's certification of Infor10 Financials Business as IFRS compliant is a critical validation of our ability to offer customers improved business performance and reduced business risk," states Radojevic.
"What sets Infor10 Financials Business apart is its global financial management capabilities, multi-dimensional reporting and analysis, extended financial capabilities and a unified ledger that provides faster access to key business information," he insists.
Commenting on the achievement, Jur de Vries, partner information technology at BDO, says: "With more than 100 countries now requiring IFRS adherence, a system like Infor10 Financials Business has become a critical tool for any company with global operations."
And he adds: "The solution allows companies to approach compliance efforts strategically, relieving some of the most substantial pain points of global businesses. Additionally, those companies who choose to be proactive about IFRS will most likely be awarded with a process that is less costly and disruptive."
