Bombardier Aerospace will detail the continuous improvement tools that have supercharged productivity at its Belfast factory at the Works Management Manufacturing Conference (WMMC) on 14-15 November.
Brian O'Hare, CI change leader at Bombardier Aerospace will reveal how an Achieving Excellence System fuels site performance around safety, quality, productivity, skills development and cost.
Bombardier's CI initiatives have helped the site, which manufactures aircraft structures such as Learjet fuselages, conquer higher labour costs, soaring energy prices and rivals in India and China, O'Hare will explain.
The Bombardier chief joins a stellar line up of CI experts at the WMMC Conference, which aims to spread improvement expertise to the wider manufacturing family.
WMMC includes keynote addresses from factory bosses at Jaguar Land Rover and GKN. Delegates will also be offered factory tours to: Jaguar Land Rover, Triumph Motorcycles, Siemens Magnet Technology, B Hepworth. And interactive workshop sessions on topics including: OEE, Visual Factory, 5S, TPM will give delegates the chance to put the theory into practice.
