Bond seals ERP success with latest episode of The Factory

Armed with a glue gun and Tecbond adhesive, K3's David – as in The Factory video series – introduces the next episode, with a James Bond routine, claiming he is "licensed to seal".

Sticky Business sees David continuing his quest for the perfect ERP solution as he goes behind the scenes at Power Adhesives, the hotmelt adhesive specialist, and its sister company Packaging Aids. Power Adhesives has integrated K3's Syspro ERP system across all its business processes to provide advanced functionality, particularly for serial number tracking and lot traceability. But it turns out that the major benefit has been gained from centralising functions for accounts and purchasing across both businesses. That has enabled them to operate more efficiently without increasing headcount. In Sticky Business, David takes a factory tour to learn how Syspro works – during which he uses every sticky pun he can about glue. It could be naff, but it's not. The Factory campaign is holding ont to its original aim of entertainment but with a serious subplot – essentially cues for finding ERP that is going to deliver. "Our company has been using SYSPRO since 2002, and we've really seen the benefits," says Peter Cook, general manager, Power Adhesives / Packaging Aids. "But seeing the final cut of the Sticky Business video brings it home in a way that is fresh as well as funny."
