BusinessPort announces further major contract win with Babcock

Aberdeen-based BusinessPort has begun initial discovery stages at the site and will next implement its new Agility 2.0 system, which combines process and document management functionality, as well as risk management and compliance. BusinessPort has worked with Babcock for 13 years at its Rosyth and HMNB Clyde bases. It believes the deal is worth "hundreds of thousands of pounds". Peter Shields, CEO of BusinessPort, explains that Agility will allow employees to view their roles within a process, as well as connect to documents, data and applications. Through a personal profile, they can gain a complete understanding of their processes, individual involvement, responsibilities and risk and compliance requirements, he says. "An experienced BusinessPort analyst initially worked with the client's internal resource at Rosyth and HMNB Clyde to map the full suite of processes across the company," states Shields. "Both of these projects concluded with the provision of a business management system that supports Babcock's ultra-reliable engineering excellence and ISO, nuclear and HSE certifications, together with compliance requirements. "The new contract will see us apply this to the Devonport Royal Dockyard base."
