CK Engineering claims it couldn’t run without planning software

CK Engineering (NI) managing director Derek Corbett claims that new production control software has delivered a step-change in the performance of his business.

The Northern Ireland-based precision engineering subcontractor, which serves OEMs, as well as the petro-chemical, pharmaceutical and aerospace industries, installed ProgressPlus six months ago, and Corbett says it has achieved full production traceability and visibility of administrative processes. "We previously used spreadsheet templates for stock control, purchase orders, shop floor scheduling, delivery and invoice documentation," explains Corbett. "We needed a system that would give us full traceability throughout the production process and the capability to track orders from enquiry through to invoicing." Corbett says his organisation settled on the ProgressPlus solution from Berkeley Myles, "as it was easy to use and provided a comprehensive and flexible package that met all of our traceability requirements". And he adds: "All of our administrative processes are now streamlined into one user-friendly solution that allows us to quickly meet the varying demands of our extended and growing client base who now more than ever prefer to receive documentation electronically."
