Coca-Cola, Aston Martin, Jaguar Land Rover and Airbus have signed up to the government's See Inside Manufacturing campaign for 2012.
The big name backers formed part of a "bigger and better" See Inside Manufacturing programme for this year said, manufacturing minister, Mark Prisk.
He said: "Now with the aerospace & defence and food & drink businesses taking part, we have our biggest ever opportunity to help change perceptions of manufacturing and give people a taste of what the industry is like today."
Over 100 events will take place as part of See Inside Manufacturing this June, the government confirmed.
Visits are scheduled for companies including BMW, Mars, Warburtons and GKN.
Prisk's comments came as he joined school kids on a visit to Coca-Cola Enterprises in Edmonton, London.
Managing Director of Coca-Cola Enterprises Simon Baldry, said:
"CCE is committed to the development of young people, and we are fully supportive of Government efforts to educate the next generation about the world of manufacturing. We already have an established programme of initiatives and dedicated staff working to provide a valuable insight into our business, as well as the wider industry."
See Inside Manufacturing was launched in January 2011 and aims to to entice youngsters into careers in industry through factory visits.
