JKH Drainage, a manufacturer of steel reinforced pre-cast concrete products, says it will reduce supply chain costs and improve service from a new transport contract with Norbert Dentressangle.
The manufacturer turned to Norbert Dentressangle's shared-user pallet network to help reduce its supply chain costs by switching to consolidated consignments.
Goods are collected from JKH's warehouse in Mildenhall, Suffolk. Orders are processed and consolidated, before being trunked overnight to Norbert Dentressangle's regional depots for final delivery to customers who include Balfour Beatty, Travis Perkins and Crest Nicholson.
Paul Minor, transport manager at JKH Drainage, said: "We have a long-held commitment to our customers to provide quality products at low prices, which is particularly important in the current climate with rising industry costs.
"Norbert Dentressangle worked with us to develop a reliable and cost-effective solution to support our distribution service."
JKH is also using Norbert Dentressangle's shipment handling and reporting system, which enables orders to be placed electronically, and scanned and tracked in real time.
