Cranfield University is hailing 20 years of working with simulation specialist Lanner as an unmitigated success.
The postgraduate university for science, technology, engineering and manufacturing adopted Lanner's simulation software under a partnership deal back in 1990 across a number of disciplines.
Peter Ball, senior lecturer in manufacturing operations at Cranfield University, sys that most recently Lanner's Witness software has become an integral part of the university's Operations Excellence and Engineering and Management of Manufacturing Systems MSc courses .
"Simulation is integral to achieving operational excellence in manufacturing and wider industry, and it underpins much of what we practice at Cranfield," comments Ball.
"Alongside leading UK manufacturers, our long standing partnership with Lanner enables us to drawn upon detailed expertise and experience to deliver best practice throughout our faculty," he continues.
Ball explains that, as well as providing its Witness process simulation software to the university, Lanner also contributes a number of guest lectures and workshops.
"As the benefits of simulation continue to be recognised, we look forward to equipping our students with the right skill sets, supported by a continued, valued relationship with the Lanner team," states Ball.
