The company will now offer a wide range of accredited courses at the facilities, emphasising its dedication to innovation and future growth.
The two academies - the result of a £500,000 investment - will see CryoGen deliver dedicated courses to both individuals and companies, as well as providing additional training to its own specialist workforce, who continue to provide fabric maintenance and asset integrity solutions across the UK. The company has partnered with awarding bodies including Train the painter (offering its Protective Coatings Applicator course), whilst also continuing to develop its own portfolio of accredited courses.
The CryoGen Academy in Southampton will open its doors for the very first-time next month. The facility - based on the Willment Industrial Estate - is the only one of its kind on the south coast. Furthermore, the CryoGen Academy in Scunthorpe on the Skippingdale Industrial Estate, located at the heart of the UK’s steel industry, is currently under construction and will be opening early next year.
Both academies will provide an ideal setting for dedicated classroom learning and will include a canteen and on-site parking. In addition to hosting training courses, the facilities are home to CryoGen’s own R&D centres, where the company already carries out a wide range of specialist industrial services for its clients.
Steve Mesure, Managing Director of CryoGen, said: “We are a people-focused business that is dedicated to tackling the UK’s skills shortage head on. This is why we have significantly invested in two industry-leading training academies, where we will help individuals looking to enhance their careers or retrain, SMEs looking to bolster their portfolios of services, and larger organisations looking for expert training solutions as part of their personal development frameworks. We are very excited to embark on the next chapter in CryoGen’s journey.”
