Pharmaceutical products manufacturer and packaging company Dales Pharmaceuticals expects its move to an Oracle E-Business suite ERP system to support growth in Europe, the US and Japan of 75% over the next five years.
The system is being implemented by Mi Services as a phased roll-out, and Dales is due to go live on Financials and Manufacturing on July 1, with the system running Oracle Database 10g on Red Hat Linux – replacing a mix of legacy systems.
Dales also says the new system will improve manufacturing efficiency as it standardises and automates business processes, while also meeting industry compliance requirements as it expands internationally.
Consolidating onto a single system will also reduce data duplication and provide management with an enterprise-wide business view. Dales managing director Mike Annice says: “As our business sets out on its expansion plans it was critical we had the technology to support this objective. Not only did we need to have better visibility of our business from manufacturing to customer service, but it is vital that we were able to meet the strict regulatory requirements such as the Good Manufacturing Process (GMP). Oracle will play a key role in helping us meet our business objectives.”
