DS Smith Recycling has contracted Maxima to supply managed services for three years on its Microsoft Dynamics NAV-based ERP solution for the waste management sector.
Under the agreement, Maxima's Unified Infrastructure will supply and manage the core IT infrastructure for its Enwis ERP software, developed by Qurius and based on Dynamics NAV.
Mike Henson, managing director of Maxima's Unified Infrastructure division, says the IT infrastructure will be based on IBM BladeCenter HX5 scalable high-performance blade servers and the Storwize V7000 storage virtualisation platform.
It will be implemented at DS Smith Recycling's Castlegate HQ in Caerphilly, Wales, with link to a Maxima data centre for disaster recovery support service.
"Enwis supports all our key processes, and is an essential platform for driving our business forward," comments Peter McGuiness, managing director of DS Smith Recycling.
"Engaging with Maxima provides us with a resilient, agile and fully virtualised IBM-based IT infrastructure that can grow alongside our business," he adds.
