Leading politicians and senior industrialists will gather next February for the National Manufacturing Conference – 'Manufacturing a Renaissance' organised by manufacturers' organisation, the EEF.
Speakers confirmed for the event, to be held at the QEII Centre in Westminster on 26 February, include Toyota UK's deputy managing director Tony Walker; Nicola Salter, HR director of Williams F1; Terry Scuoler, EEF chief executive; and Martin Wolf, chief economics commentator of the Financial Times
Broadcaster Steph McGovern will chair the conference.
As part of its 'Make it Britain' campaign in the run up to the general election, EEF will publish its full election manifesto, laying down a challenge to all three main parties to pursue policies that will promote jobs and growth.
Following the conference, EEF will also be hosting the annual Manufacturers' Dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel. As well as a senior speaker from the political or business world, the after dinner speaker will be the broadcaster and former politician, Michael Portillo.
Scuoler (pictured), said: "Next years' conference will come at a critical time for business and all three main parties must have growth at the centre of their policies. Our event will give manufacturers the chance to talk to government and, opposition, about what the priorities should be to boost jobs and investment."
