European defence firm buys $5 million of IFS Applications

An unnamed "European defence organisation" has signed a contract with IFS for more than $5 million worth of IFS Applications licenses, according to IFS, as well as three years maintenance and support.

The software is to be used to support and manage defence assets in order to enable improved capability and reduced through-life service and maintenance costs. Iain Green, CEO of IFS Defence, says the organisation expects to make the improvements through better control and coordination of inventory and asset maintenance schedules and routines. "This is yet another important win for IFS, following the recently announced contract with the US Army," comments Green. "With this deal we add yet another country to our list of customers in the defence vertical."
