Sarah Cobb, high flying business systems director with Filtrona Group, will kick off the second day at this year's two-day manufacturing business IT conference in the West Midlands.
Cobb says delegates to the conference, from 201—21 June 2012, will hear how her team is taking multiple instances of the organisation's ERP platform and making them work harder across all business units – existing and acquired.
They will also hear about her strategy of expanding ERP to include key integrated suites, such as business intelligence, CRM and e-commerce at the business level, as well as manufacturing execution systems to improve efficiency and flexibility at the sharp end of production.
Other key speakers include: Simon Noakes, operations director of Hozelock; Mark Goodwin, IT director at Coba International; Steve Ching, IT manager, Hansatech; and John Routledge, IT manager, Drallim Industries.
Organiser Findlay Media describes the presenters as "inspirational speakers who have walked the walk". Richard Henley, event director, also explains that delegates will be taken to world-class local factories to see for themselves excellence in manufacturing business systems in action.
They will also be invited to attend one of four learning sessions, with 'deep dives' into implementing systems appropriate to various mixes of manufacturing/business styles and current challenges.
The event is aimed at team leaders and project teams running, or about to run, ERP, supply chain and production system implementations, migrations and upgrades.
