First UK event for Smarteam PLM next week
Warwick University is to host the first UK conference on Smarteam PLM (product lifecycle management) system updates and adoption on 12th October.
Avery WeighTronix and Magellan Aerospace will be providing user perspectives, covering their experiences with Smarteam PLM for distributed BoM (bill of materials) centric PLM, collaborative design and risk management.
Miki Lumnitz, director of PLM product management, and David Segal, product and marketing manager, responsible for BoM, configuration management and ERP integration, will be detailing the advances in R17 and their significance.
They say they will cover: the newly designed web user interface, which boosts collaboration across an enterprise while protecting the IP; enhancements in the multi-view design-to-configure BoM and how it can accelerate your processes by giving early access to engineering data across disciplines; and the new multi-CAD system support.
