FeRFA, the resin flooring association, is leading the way in creating training opportunities within the resin flooring industry. The Association has set up an apprentice scheme specifically aimed at newcomers to in-situ resin flooring, which will provide a qualified and skilled workforce for the future. The course started last month with its first eight candidates, who all took part in an initial two-day training session for the first module on Health and Safety Awareness. This was held at The Preparation Group’s brand new training centre in Lincoln. The two-year course has been set up in conjunction with the CITB Construction Skills and involves both classroom and on the job training which will lead to a full NVQ Level 2 qualification and the CSCS Blue Skilled Card. There are more candidates already signed up for the start of the next scheme, demonstrating the commitment of both FeRFA and its members in raising quality standards within the resin flooring industry.
