Truck manufacturer GINAF is to implement QAD's cloud-based on-demand ERP software to support expected rapid growth and align IT with its lean corporate mandate.
The Dutch company, which manufactures specialist heavy-duty trucks and electric vehicles to order, says it believes the QAD on-demand software will streamline and consolidate its IT department, as part of its lean drive – in which all non-core business activity is outsourced.
QAD On Demand gives GINAF the power to focus on its core business and leave the management of its ERP system to QAD, according to Henk Weijman, general manager at GINAF.
"We simply connect and use the QAD ERP software to manage our finance, customer relationships and logistics. We have access to all of the latest features in the QAD solution, but we do not have the risk of a large investment," he continues
"Monthly costs for QAD On Demand are predictable and the scalability of the solution makes it easy to adapt to our organisation. Our new main goal is to operate as lean as possible. Now we can," adds Weijman.
The implementation will provide full-fat ERP in a Software as a Service (SaaS) model. Users at GINAF will thus be able to work remotely, using QAD's process maps to embed best practices.
