Cleaning and waterproofing products manufacturer Granger's is to implement an ERP system from Access UK, in order to streamline its stock management and improve purchasing activities.
Nick Holloway, sourcing and purchasing manager at Granger's, explains that much of the company's works order processing was carried out manually, which was proving inefficient and time consuming.
"As a business, we're moving away from an old hand-written paper system – the use of automated works orders will help us achieve this," he adds.
Holloway also expects the firm to benefit from "improved MRP views, batch manufacturing, and real-time reporting".
For him, one of the influencing factors in selecting Access was that it supports extensive business growth with great flexibility. "That allows additional modules to be added at a later date," says Holloway.
"Our longer term view is to implement Access Document Manager to again remove unnecessary and time consuming paperwork," he continues.
The implementation is due to begin next week, including integration with the firm's existing systems.
