WSP Textiles, which manufactures billiards cloth and coverings for tennis balls, is going live with Access Supply Chain ERP software, from mid-market provider Access.
The manufacturer, recently the subject of a management buy-out backed by private equity firm Vespa Capital, needed to install independent systems throughout the organisation.
"Some of our accounting is currently done off site at our old head office, so getting access to underlying data can be difficult," comments Ewen Hamilton, financial controller.
"By having our own on-premise solution we'll have better access to real time information, and it will integrate with our Office software, which will be a huge step forward for us," he adds.
The 15-user Access Supply Chain solution will be handling WSP's financial and manufacturing processes. "All the information we need is going to be readily available, and we'll be better able to shape the management information around the needs of the business," states Hamilton.
He explains that traceability and quality control are also high priorities for WSP, with quality control information held on every piece of cloth produced.
"The new solution must produce all the necessary documentation corresponding to the relevant order, keeping the process simple for us," says Hamilton.
"When Access Supply Chain was demonstrated we were impressed that it was able to do what we wanted without any additional bespoking, and we really liked the integration with Microsoft Office, which will simplify our reporting processes."
