Flexible laminates and adhesive coatings manufacturer GTS Flexible Materials says that Phase One of its Exel Efacs ERP implementation is already delivering “considerable stock management benefits.”

The company, which serves the military, aerospace, marine and automotive industries, and has subsidiaries in France, Germany and America, has gone live with 18 users on E/8 Accounts, Engineering, Stock, Purchasing and Sales modules. It will deal with the issues of meeting the automotive industry ISO/TS16949:2002 standard requirements, providing management around approved suppliers and material reception using certified, calibrated test equipment, and supporting full audit traceability of materials through the manufacturing processes. “GTS is precisely the type of company that has much to gain through the use of a modern ERP system built on the latest browser based technology,” comments Exel’s Marketing Manager Tony Brookes comments on the implementation.” And he adds: “The inherent flexibility and configurability of Efacs E/8 means that the system can grow and adapt closely in step with GTS.” Phase Two of the project, implementing the manufacturing modules, is scheduled for Spring next year.
