Electronic destination signs manufacturer Hanover Displays says it expects to improve operational efficiencies and achieve cost savings when it goes live with a new Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system from Columbus IT.
Hanover IT manager Ben Richardson says: "Our business has simply outgrown our current systems. Re-keying of data, a reliance on spreadsheets and the inability to gain real insight into our business were beginning to cause increasing inefficiencies."
The new 35-user Microsoft Dynamics AX system is to replace three disparate systems currently running finance, manufacturing and repairs.
"The fact that it came from the Microsoft stable gave us the confidence that, not only would it be around for a long time but their investment in R&D would help us stay ahead of the competition for years to come," explains Richardson.
"Microsoft Dynamics' 10 year guarantee and their clear roadmap made it a low risk option," he adds.
Richardson also says that, by opting for the Columbus IT implementation, the company also gains the benefit of the company's knowledge of both the product and the manufacturing sector.
"The size of their customer base and their global footprint gave us great confidence in their ability. We are looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship," he says.
