Grassroots manufacturers will have their chance to lobby government chiefs on what the sector needs to match international rivals at the WM Manufacturing Summit.
The 2012 summit will be themed on making UK manufacturing internationally competitive and includes a keynote address by manufacturing minister Mark Prisk.
Industry leaders including Joe Greenwell, Ford of Britain chair and Will Butler-Adams, MD Brompton Bicycle will outline the key areas government must offer industry greater support.
The Manufacturing Summit will be held on 7 March 2012 at the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, Birdcage Walk, London.
The event features a Q&A discussion with a panel including MP and All Party Manufacturing Group chair Chris White.
The summit is open to all WM readers with panellists taking questions from the floor.
The 2012 summit marks the third in the WM Manufacturing Summit series. Last year's event themed on the steps needed to rebuild UK manufacturing heard widespread discontent from frontline firms over hostile lending terms.
