Hotel Chocolat invests £10m in manufacturing plant

Hotel Chocolat, a UK-based chocolate maker, has announced plans to invest £10m to expand its manufacturing plant in Royston, Food Manufacture reported.

The expansion will help the facility create 50 new jobs and underlines the chocolatier's commitment to the UK manufacturing industry.

The investment programme will also see Hotel Chocolat launch 25 new stores in the UK next year, with sites including Belfast and Glasgow. The company will also upsize existing localities like Nottingham and Chichester. 

Angus Thirlwell, CEO and Co-founder of Hotel Chocolat said: "The UK is the home of the Hotel Chocolat brand and we're committed to investing in the UK high street and British manufacturing."
