HP is now offering business intelligence services for manufacturers, with three new offerings based on master data management.
Kristina Robinson, vice president and general manager, Business Intelligence Solutions at HP, explains that its master data management services enable users to capture, manage and store data consistently across an entire organisation.
"With a single source for trusted data, customers can look across information silos to understand complex information relationships," she says. And she goes on to point out the opportunities for cross-selling, improving procurement efficiencies and mitigating business risk.
She also points to two other elements from HP: information quality management services, and information governance services – the former involving a methodology that aligns data quality initiatives with business objectives; the latter providing a framework to ensure consistent, available, accessible, auditable and secure information.
"With these new services, customers can better connect intelligence across the organisation and make business decisions with higher confidence," says Robinson.
"Especially during these difficult economic times, HP is 100% focused on helping businesses address the most important challenges in enterprise data management to help them realise the full value of their business intelligence investment."
