European doors manufacturer and supplier Hurst Plastics has gone live with a Sage 1000 business management solution from ERP specialist CPiO.
Hurst says it expects the £250,000system, being installed at Hurst’s Kingston-upon-Hull site, to increase efficiency by integrating all business processes.
The 200-strong manufacturing business, which supplies PVC-U decorative door panels and high security polymer doors for the double glazing industry, says its previous system had become unstable and needed urgent replacement.
Administration manager Leigh Jagger explains: “As our business has grown, our current system simply could no longer handle the increasing levels of activity we have relating to deliveries and invoicing.
“We were introduced to CPiO and were impressed by their knowledge and understanding of our business and the requirements of our industry… CPiO offered us invaluable consultancy advice in defining our requirements. It was clear that Sage 1000 was an excellent fit.”
The new Sage 1000 system will be used by 40 employees, including eight customer service staff. However, the initial go-live is for sales order processing and management, together with all of the financial accounting.
Says Jagger: “We will be looking at additional ways we can use the software in the future as we know that initially we will only be utilising about 40% of the functionality.”
