The move comes as iconsys plans to target a multi-million pound clean energy opportunity. Robinson will drive the company's presence in clean energy and decarbonisation.
Robinson has previously helped some of the biggest Middle East company's deliver on its clean energy projects.
He has previously worked for companies such as Schneider Electric and Emerson Automation. Recently, he worked for major waste and utility companies on their digital transformation journeys.
Robinson believes that now is the perfect time for iconsys' solution driven approach and technology independence to support sectors in their decarbonisation journey.
These sectors include heavy industry such as metals, pulp & paper, marine & ports, automotive, transport infrastructure, consumer goods, and construction materials.
“What really appealed about the iconsys role is our agility and ability to move quickly on projects, working with clients to identify the optimal solution and technology - without being tied to delivering a particular product,” said Robinson.
Founded in 1987, iconsys is a UK-based automation solutions provider. The company has had a string of successful appointments such as Joe Howe as its energy transition specialist, the appointment of two senior sales members.
“The plan is to be commercially engaged with our targeted customers in 2025, focusing on all aspects of energy transition, such as carbon and hydrogen capture/storage/transportation, solutions using alternative energy sources, fuel switching, and sustainable aviation fuels, which is an exciting space," Robinson said.
