Imass amasses Trionics to create UK super Autodesk reseller

Colin Watson, director of design solutions for Imass, explains that although customers span the entire manufacturing industry, the company focuses on the oil, gas, renewables and nuclear sectors. Trionics, meanwhile, is dedicated to the discrete manufacturing sector. Watson and joint Trionics owners John Pickering and John Bartle say that by combining the strengths of the two businesses, they will also be enhancing customer service, support and technical consultancy. "Manufacturing is facing a demanding time," comments Watson. "But new methods of working, such as digital prototyping, can really help customers address current global challenges and remain competitive. "Our objective is to build a long-term sustainable organisation that continues to provide best-in-class service to our joint customer base, enabling them to increase productivity and enjoy faster returns on investment."
