Manufacturing software conglomerate Infor has launched a new version of its EAM (enterprise asset management) MP2 suite for SMEs, from acquired Datastream.
The new version includes enhancements designed to ease the transition to Microsoft-based servers, including support for Windows Vista. Infor says it’s designed for manufacturers with small maintenance organisations, and that it plugs quickly into existing Infor ERO systems to extend coverage.
Specifically, MP2 is an extension of its existing product range, automating the processes involved in tracking, maintaining and managing capital assets, while maximising equipment uptime, and cutting the cost of associated labour and inventory.
“The latest version is a direct result of customer feedback enabling us to extend the long history of helping our customers improve plant performance and reduce operating expenses,” says Bruce Gheesling, senior vice president, Infor EAM group.
