Fiercely acquisitive ERP and supply chain house Infor has been recognised for the second time this year as top vendor for its performance management solution, Infor PM Business Process Applications (BPA) – this time by business intelligence (BI) services analyst Ventana Research.
With a score of 97.42%, Infor ranked as the overall category leader for enabling performance management within a manufacturer. It’s the fourth consecutive win for Infor – in this case against 13 others, in Ventana’s 2007 BI and Performance Management Scorecard – Midyear Update.
The Ventana Research 2007 BI and Performance Management Scorecard, available this week, is a tool organisations can use to improve their understanding of how well different software and solutions may meet their PM requirements.
The scorecard ranks each vendor’s and product’s compliance to the Ventana Research PerformanceCycle methodology, designed to ensure the alignment of an organisation’s IT investment and resources with the business requirements for managing performance.
Out of three total categories, Infor ranked first in Optimise and second in Align and Understand, leading to an overall ranking of first among all vendors.
“Infor has consistently provided a solution that ensures these companies align, optimise and understand their organisation’s performance,” says Mark Smith, CEO and executive vice president of research at Ventana.
Infor PM BPAs are aimed at strategic and operational planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and consolidation. They can be deployed individually or as a suite on a single platform. “Infor PM BPAs provide the business-specific functionality and integration required to optimise business processes across an entire organisation, down to the department level or an individual role,” says Christina McKeon, director of product marketing for Infor PM solutions.
