To ensure a successful IT project, IT managers need to understand their core platform, warns SAP, as it launches a new service aimed at assisting visualisation.
The service, which costs £10,000 as a flat fee, is based on SAP's so-called expert toolset that provides users with information on their production systems – the objective being to reveal key data not normally available.
"We will remotely analyse your system and provide data such as: which transactions and reports are used and the frequency of use; and which licensed SAP software is being used," says a spokesperson.
Just as important, the service can highlight what software is not being utilised at all – which, says SAP, represents missed opportunities.
Other options include analysis of custom transactions and reports, information on modifications and custom developed objects.
