Lichfield-based homeware supplier Integra Products says it expects to streamline back office processes and improve the way it works with suppliers and customers, following implementation of an ERP system.
The firm is installing £200,000 worth of IFS Applications 2004, scheduled for completion in October 2005, and Integra says better demand forecasting will also improve inventory control, production planning.
The company supplies leading DIY suppliers like Wickes and Homebase, and finance director Colin Matthews says: “By more accurately forecasting sales, we are able to deliver greater value to all stakeholders.
“We recognised that our legacy system was nearing the end of its lifecycle and that we needed an integrated, scalable enterprise software solution.”
Integra chose IFS not least for its scaleability and flexibility. The company is planning to integrate mobile portals in Phase Two of the project.
The system will run on an Oracle 10g database, Microsoft Windows 2003 and HP servers.
