Spiceworks, the social business network for IT professionals, has unveiled its new Spiceworks University, offering classes in 38 cities across Europe and the US.
Nicole Tanzillo, head of Spiceworks University, says that the IT education programme is designed to bring technology and business management training to the users, but also to help IT professionals build their own training and consulting businesses based on the Spiceworks University curriculum.
"The Spiceworks community has always relied on the collective know-how of its 1.5 million IT professionals to better manage everything IT," says Tanzillo. "With Spiceworks University, we're tapping into this expertise to bring the best IT training to every corner of the world."
Classes available include: Spiceworks 101: Spiceworks Fundamentals; Spiceworks 201: Inventory Deep Dive; and Spiceworks 202: Help Desk Deep Dive.
Tanzillo says that additional courses are being developed to cover more aspects of IT management, all the way from cloud management to virtualisation.
"The great thing about Spiceworks University is it has allowed me to share my IT knowledge, while building a lucrative training business," comments Grey Howe, certified SpiceTrainer. "It's another example of how Spiceworks is tapping into the power of its community to help small and mid-sized businesses in new and exciting ways."
