Jaguar Land Rover has signed a deal with Lanner to provide more of its process optimisation software, as the luxury cars maker builds its new advanced engine manufacturing facility in Staffordshire.
Lanner is providing its simulation software for the new engine manufacturing plant, with a goal of maximising process performance and optimising resources.
"This is a classic example of simulation enabling an automotive manufacturing organisation to optimise its productivity and performance," comments Lanner CEO David Jones.
"Leveraging the power of Witness software, critical facility decisions can be made with the certainty of quantifiable evidence," he explains.
"As the global economic slowdown continues, process simulation is increasingly recognised as an approach which removes risk from decisions, delivering significant productivity gains and efficiency savings along the way," adds Jones.
