Kewill and Cimmetry partner for SME engineer to order

Kewill ERP, which provides ERP-like solutions to SMEs (small to medium-size enterprises), is to embed AutoVue technology from Cimmetry Systems into its JobBOSS 6.0 suite of factory management applications. The firm says it will provide manufacturers with “unparalleled access to a wide variety of current office, CAD and engineering documents.” With the addition of AutoVue’s visualisation capabilities, JobBOSS 6.0 users will get ‘out-of-the-box’ visual access to their documents directly from within their user interface. Scope ranges from complex CAD and engineering formats such as AutoCAD and MicroStation to raster, vector and office documents, including MS Office, PDF, TIFF and Visio. Allen Peterson, president of Kewill ERP: “The addition of this updated viewing technology into our products illustrates our commitment to continuously deliver solutions that meet the information needs of our customers.” Users can also electronically redline and annotate their documents directly on screen and save them directly back into the ERP system. Kewill and Cimmetry will also provide users with the upgrade option of adding support for 3D CAD formats such as Pro/E, Catia, Unigraphics, SolidWorks, Solid Edge and Inventor.
