Sheet metal and steelwork manufactures may be interested to learn that Lantek has released Integra 2011 as a modular web-based ERP system integrated with its CAD/CAM software.
Alberto Martínez, manager of Lantek SMS. Explains that the firm's Lantek Integra 2011 ERP software allows manufacturers to automate, manage and control business processes in a web environment from any location or time zone.
"We have incorporated numerous new features that will give companies in the sheet metal and metal processing industries a powerful, high quality, management solution, fully adapted to their needs in a mobile global market," states Martínez.
"These improvements will enhance productivity without degrading the ease of use associated with our software," he adds.
Martínez explains that Integra 2011 has a new web interface, having improved compatibility with popular web browsers, including Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera, and mobile devices, including iPad.
He cites graphic wizards, for example, which now make it easy to customise reports, while easy access to information – such as source data, columns, groups, orders and operations – enable data to be manipulated and presented for each report.
Incidentally, budgeting in Integra 2011 has also been extended to include product assemblies and subassemblies, not just sheet metal components.
Further, products imported into the ERP database are graphically displayed in a tree structure, showing groups of components in each assembly or subassembly. Martínez makes the point that this simplifies visualisation and costing of the project.
Beyond these, there is CRM software and a new outsourcing module to manage subcontract work. The software manages orders, dispatch notes and goods received notes, so that parts are made and delivered on time and to agreed cost.
