Larchwood Foods keeps productivity slick with Opera 3

Rapeseed oil processor Larchwood Foods has implemented Opera 3 business software to optimise its processes, minimise production costs and meet legislative requirements.

The company, which is a new manufacturer producing extra virgin cold pressed rapeseed oil for the retail, restaurant and hospitality industries, says the system is now managing its financials, supply chain management and BoM structures. Julie Rolfe, project manager at Larchwood Foods, explains that production is scheduled for September, so parent company Maurice Mason needed a system to provide visibility and support traceability fast. Maurice Mason selected Opera 3 from Pegasus Software from a shortlist of two, based on Opera 3's functionality in stock traceability and BoM creation, as well as Rolfe's confidence in the solution. "The solution we use in our farming business simply wasn't appropriate for our new company," she explains. "Therefore it was crucial for us to select a new one that would maximise productivity and profitability." Having used systems from Pegasus Software in the past, Rolfe says she was confident that Opera 3 would meet the company's needs. "Having seen numerous demonstrations, I was impressed. In fact we plan to adopt Opera 3's CRM application once production has commenced later in the year," she adds.
