Lawson has introduced a ‘Learning Accelerator’ to help users gain the most from their ERP investments.
Learning Accelerator delivers interactive simulations based on a customer’s configured software, directly to each user’s desktop. The company makes the point that by enabling users to practice using Lawson in a simulated setting, skills are gained and transferred faster to the real job without risk to live systems.
“Learning Accelerator gives us a way to capture best practices in completing key tasks, and then builds them into realistic practice activities,” says Alan Hupp, vice president, Lawson Learning.
“Learning this way is very engaging for users and we have found that learning retention is extremely high. In addition to the initial learning for the user, Learning Accelerator produces tests, job aids and documentation that continue to reinforce successful job performance,” he adds
Lawson Learning Accelerator was developed based on industry best practices and in collaboration with technology training expert Charles Fred, CEO of management consulting firm Breakaway Group.
He says that the system also helps predict successful job performance by allowing learners to demonstrate that they know how to complete key tasks by testing out on a series of practice exercises.
