So called 'power tailoring' is new in Syspro 6.1, the latest version of the manufacturing ERP system from K3 Business Technology Group.
The company says it's all about helping manufacturers, with new levels of customisation that enable users to take business performance and efficiency levels "to new heights".
"ERP systems should provide readily accessible and beneficial information," says K3 managing director Howard Joseph. "That's one of the key points of having business software: it should improve productivity and not just make people work differently, without delivering major benefits," he explains.
Syspro 6.1, he says, has a "fluid interface [that] will provide user-friendly navigation based on best principles of software design and usability". This is a substantial advance on earlier versions, he adds.
"It is very easy to take for granted that people are increasingly more IT aware, but we keep sight of our key objective of delivering software that empowers users and their businesses and not programmers," says Joseph.
With Syspro 6.1, the power tailoring and fluid interface functionality give users the customisation capabilities they need to get the most out of their investment."
