Dr Paul John, technology manager at electronics manufacturer e2v technologies, is to join Government UKTI design task force advisor Steve May-Russell, speaking to manufacturing leaders on Thursday 5 July.
The event is the second meeting of the Manufacturing Leaders’ Club, being staged at the Stratford Manor Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon – and this time focuses on the tools, technologies and strategies for design and innovation.
The Manufacturing Leaders’ Club is organised by Findlay Publications, and runs in partnership with Cranfield School of Management and EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation. It is operated in association with HP and SAP, and this event sponsor is IBM.
John will be presenting on the role and importance of innovation in his hi-tech environment. e2v is a quoted plc specialising in products from thermal imaging cameras to X-ray detectors.
Steve May-Russell has led some of industry’s most successful innovations, from flashing lights in the heels of Asics trainers, to a space-age fire tender. As managing director of the strategic product development outfit Smallfry, he is part of the Government’s UKTI design task force.
They join Honda Racing F1 Team’s operations director Gary Savage and Cranfield University’s innovation guru Rick Mitchell.
If design, innovation and product development is on your agenda, you’ll go a long way to find a more valuable way to spend one morning. And if it isn’t, it probably should be.
