The government's manufacturing strategy has hit delays and won't be published until December, WM can exclusively reveal.
The document originally scheduled for release in November had "slipped" according to a Department for Business insider.
However, the release of the strategy, which will set out Westminster's blueprint for boosting UK manufacturing, will not drift into 2011, the source stressed.
The document is set to arrive during the first two weeks of December, WM understands.
The government has promised a series of measures to encourage innovation and growth.
Business minister, Mark Prisk, previously told WM: "We want to achieve free enterprise by reforming the tax system and reducing regulatory burden. We'll be encouraging innovation and making sure the infrastructure ids in place to establish growth."
