MESA Names Norbitech and Cormetech Winners of Metrics Makeover contest
Norwegian electronics contractor Norbitech and catalytic converters manufacturers Cormetech of the USA were announced as winners of MESA's first Metrics Makeover contest at this month's European conference in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association had asked manufacturers to identify their toughest problem, and the winners will now receive consulting from MESA solution provider members.
Next year, the two manufacturers will report on their key lessons and the benefits derived from their respective consulting projects over the course of the year, at the 2011 European and North American MESA conferences.
"This contest is intended to demonstrate the performance gains available to MESA members by leveraging best practices, as developed and shared in the MESA community around metrics and manufacturing information systems," comments John Southcott, MESA International board chair.
