Metallistation surfaces economies with configurator technology
Dudley-based metals surface coating equipment manufacturer Metallisation expects its new SSL WinMan Microsoft .Net-based ERP system to streamline operations through sales to production.
The company says that SSL’s product configurator was one of the deciding factors in its choice of system. Metallisation intends to use the system to generate specific BoM (bill of materials), routing and works order straight off the sales order at the order entry stage.
WinMan will also provide automated pricing, cutting out the need for the engineering time and effort involved in generating quotations, sop cutting costs, improving accuracy and reducing lead times.
Implementation began in August and is scheduled to go live in the next few weeks.
