Titan, the new version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, now at v4.0, has been released to manufacturing, according to Microsoft.
It’s already been subject to extensive testing over the past year by more than 600 partners around the world, as well as more than 100 early access customers – and will be available worldwide in more than 25 languages in the next few weeks.
There are to be two versions: Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 is for on-site and partner-hosted implementations, while Microsoft Dynamics CRM Live is for Microsoft-hosted deployments. Both have been designed with a single unified-code base for both on-premise and on-demand usage.
“Microsoft Dynamics CRM is making the power of choice a reality for businesses around the world,” says Brad Wilson, general manager of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. “This new release further enables us to deliver on Microsoft’s software plus services strategy and provide our CRM solutions with a great user experience and exceptional business value.”
He says that new benefits include: an advanced multi-tenant architecture that supports multiple customers per server; extended global capabilities with user choice of more than 25 languages and support for multiple currencies; new business intelligence capabilities; advanced business process automation based on Microsoft Windows Workflow, and new collaboration capabilities with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 including real-time presence indicators within the CRM application.
