Mitsubishi Electric has just completed a major refit of its customer technology centre at its UK headquarters in Hatfield. The state-of-the-art visitor, training and conference centre has now been equipped with all of the latest Mitsubishi technologies, providing demonstrations of their capabilities.
Mitsubishi says the refit has focused in particular on addressing the issues being faced by customers, with a strong emphasis on energy saving, communications and motion control.
Key focus areas include demonstrations of how current technologies can be applied to reduce energy costs and achieve a lower carbon footprint, how the latest communications technologies can increase information visibility and boost productivity, and how advanced motion control technologies can drive increases in accuracy and flexibility, helping to boost throughput and reduce waste.
The centre allows visitors to see the full range of Mitsubishi products, but it also provides a training facility, offering regular training courses for all Mitsubishi automation products. There is a regular training schedule, but bespoke courses can also be arranged.
It also provides industry-focused conference facilities. Mitsubishi holds regular workshops at the Centre, focusing on current industry issues and customer requirements. Examples include the recent energy workshop, focusing on the latest legislation impacting the use of energy and motors in industry.
