Plumbing, drainage and sanitary equipment manufacturer Monument Tools says it has successfully implemented Solarsoft’s ERP system and is expecting to see improved visibility of orders and its warehouse.
“Manufacturing and distributing an 800-unit product portfolio with 4,000 components giving 16,000 possible unit combinations, it was essential for us to implement a system [capable of] in-depth tracking and visibility,” says Monument IT manager Jonathan Collier.
“Solarsoft’s ERP system will ensure minimal stock losses and misplaced orders – essential when every year we process about 10,000 sales orders,” he adds.
Monument is a long-term Solarsoft user, and Collier says the new system is all about building on that. “With the new system we now have the ability to integrate business-critical disciplines – including sales ordering, processing and purchase ledgers – in order to improve transparency across the organisation and streamline internal business operations.”
He also comments that training and user adoption have already gone well. “By providing one centralised information portal, Solarsoft’s ERP software has given us a better overview of our organisation than we have ever been able to achieve, and has ultimately afforded valuable time and cost savings.”
Just as important, he adds: “With the flexibility of the new system we now have much more sophisticated information available about our customers. We can identify exactly what our customers are buying and selling, and then pinpoint ways in which we can service them more efficiently and effectively.”
