New appointment for UKWA
The United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) has appointed John Maguire, sales and marketing director of Flexi Narrow Aisle, as its new vice chairman. Maguire will take over from current chairman, Derrick Potter, in 2011.
Maguire (pictured) said he was "honoured and excited to be given the chance to contribute to the UK logistics industry's most influential trade association".
Roger Williams, chief executive officer of UKWA, added: "We are delighted to be able to draw upon the services of someone of John's caliber. I am sure he will be a tremendous asset to our organisation."
Maguire has held several senior posts within the materials handling industry. He also is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
